Puppets By Post was started in 1999 by the husband and wife team Sue and Peter Lockey with the aim of offering the largest range of puppets available anywhere. With over thirty years of teaching experience between them, their enthusiasm for puppetry is driven by the knowledge of the simple joy that a puppet can bring.

Puppets By Post is a family business and we pride ourselves on our customer service. We have built our reputation through fast, efficient and personable service. We believe you should always be able to reach a person at the end of the phone and endeavor to answer all calls and emails as quickly as possible.

There is something magical about owning and using a puppet. Our puppets are suitable for children, adults, teachers and professional puppeteers alike. Our puppets capture the essence of what makes a fine toy because they allow the user to be creative, to entertain and, more than anything else, to have fun.

Puppets By Post supply puppets from various companies around the world to both individuals and organizations. We always have over 2,000 different types of puppets in stock at our Head Office and Distribution Centre in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, Great Britain.

If you would like to place an invoice order for your school or nursery, please either fax, email or post your order on an official Purchase Order or your school headed paper and we will process this for you.

Wholesale enquiries are referred to our parent company: The Puppet Company Ltd. The Puppet Company offers over 850 different puppets from finger puppets to full size body puppets and is the UK distributor for the premium quality German brand ‘Living Puppets’.

The Puppet Company offers a UK-based puppet and soft toy design service with manufacturing in China and Indonesia to all current CE standards. This is strictly a high volume service with quantities starting at 2,000 pieces per style. We are very sorry but we do not make ‘one-off’ puppets. We enforce a strict ethical trading policy and attempt never to buy from factories/companies that employ child labour. All our factories have been personally visited by ourselves to make sure that the worker’s conditions are of the highest standard and to ensure that production is of the best quality.
